After extensive flood damage I was told by a few flooring companies that I would need a whole new floor. I originally contacted Dean to ask him to put in the new flooring but when he came to my house he suggested that we could actually restore the floor we already had and save thousands. I can't recommend Dean and his team more highly. They were incredibly professional, their work was of the highest quality and their quote was much lower than any others; quick, cheap and excellent - a very rare combination to achieve.
Re-pairing, sanding, finishing Victorian floorboards

Dean was terrific! Incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about restoring flooring. He was on time, he was tidy and he did an amazing job. We had a shabby, painted, damaged floor with tons of gaps in the floorboards and now we have a completely restored, smooth and natural looking floor. We are absolutely delighted with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. I’ll be calling him as soon as I have more floors that need a bit of love!

Sanding the downstairs wood floor

Dean and his colleague did fantastic job transforming the downstairs of our home by sanding our traditional oak floor with a light sand finish. We had thought we would have to get a new floor but Dean was recommended to us. He immediately understood the look we wanted and that would compliment our home. The old floor was scratched and dean explained how he would repair and restore the most worn areas. Dean’s communication was excellent throughout and he arrived on time and started work immediately! We were so impressed with the final finish and would give 10/10! Thank you Dean and team!

We were extremely satisfied with our experience with Turnbull Wood Flooring Solutions! They were punctual, efficient, great value, friendly and did a superb quality job! Our extremely scratched, rickety original floorboards were absolutely transformed in 2 days - they look like new! Dean Turnbull gave great advice about colour of varnish to modernise and lighten the overall appearance. Despite awkward furniture and lockdown conditions, Dean and his co-worker conducted the whole job safely and without any hassle. I thoroughly recommend this company.

Dean sanded the original floorboards in two bedrooms and finished them with a slightly white tint. He used slivers to fill the gaps and dark grey filler and they look amazing. He also put a small beading around the edge of the skirting so cover the gap between floor and skirting which we painted white so it looks part of the skirting. Very happy with the job and would definitely recommend.

We trusted Dean from our very first interactions with him. That trust was not misplaced! He has a very relaxed manner which makes him easy to get along with and belies his professionalism, work ethic and amazing eye for detail. He is a consummate craftsman and we are delighted with the result - a stunning refurbished floor that is 100% better than when it was first laid! Unsurprisingly his services are much in demand so you may have to wait a couple of months - but in our experience it's well worth the wait.

The advice about how to deal with my floors was very reassuring and the outcome was exceptional, way above my expectation. Dean was confident he could improve the condition and he did. The disruption and dust from just under 40 sqm of wood flooring was minimal. I am so impressed by the work and cannot recommend them enough. I can’t recommend Dean and his company highly enough. They have completed 3 separate jobs for me and each time I am blown away by the results. The 3 floors they have sanded have been totally transformed and each time there has been literally zero mess or dust. Despite being a London based company one of the jobs Dean did for me was for a property in Devon. His quote was appox 60% of the companies down there and his approach so much more professional and reassuring. Would use Dean for every flooring job and would recommend him to anyone looking to sand their floors.

You are unlikely to find anyone better than Dean Turnbull; he is courteous, punctual, professional and did a truly excellent job. After coming across so many tradesmen in the past, Dean exceeds them all by a long way; His passion for his work and attention to detail are outstanding. He helped me replace my furniture on a Sunday after the job was completed. He is conscientious and considerate. In the 20 years I have spent in London, I have no hesitation in saying that he is one of the best I have come across and I will have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to my friends.

We are very pleased with the restoration of our parquet floor. It has really given the oak a new life. Dean and his colleague were particularly tidy. They also kindly helped to move some of the heavy furniture. We received good advice about how to care for the floor. It could not have been better.

Turnbull Wood Flooring did a fantastic job sanding both bedroom floors in a weekend, they arrived first thing in the morning as planned and mariculously created no dust when sanding. Dean applied the stain by hand and then added several layers of varnish the floors looks amazing and without a doubt Dean is a master crafts man.

Dean and Eden did a fantastic job with our Victorian floorboards. When lifted carpet, there were a few missing boards and dean sourced replacements which look part of original. They are real perfectionists and committed to the job. Highly recommend
